Booking.com wanted to deepen its connection with APAC travellers by aligning with their passions—particularly the region’s love for K-pop and Korean culture.
With fewer than 1 in 4 travellers enjoying the planning process as much as the journey, and only 20% using unified booking platforms, the challenge was clear: showcase Booking.com as the ultimate one-stop solution for travel planning while creating an unforgettable experience that resonates with Hallyu fans.
our RESPONSE
We designed Booking.com’s Ultimate K-pop Experience, a campaign that combined convenience with cultural immersion. Partnering with top-selling K-pop soloist KANGDANIEL, we curated an exclusive stay at the “unbookable” Executive Producer Suite at RYSE, Autograph Collection in Seoul’s vibrant Hongdae district.
The suite featured:
· Korean snack favourites and an Instagram-worthy K-beauty vanity.
· A private karaoke stage for guests to live out their idol dreams.
· Authentic wardrobe and memorabilia from KANGDANIEL, including his original music video outfit.
The experience included:
· Two front-row tickets and VIP treatment at M COUNTDOWN, a popular weekly South Korean music program.
· A full K-pop idol makeover and photoshoot with celebrity stylists.
· A private K-pop dance lesson and keepsake photobook.
To amplify excitement, KANGDANIEL teased the experience to his 5.5M followers on Instagram and X, driving anticipation and engagement. The booking mechanic mirrored the thrill of concert ticketing: one lucky fan secured the stay for USD $25.07, a nod to KANGDANIEL’s debut date.
